Getting That Holiday Spirit!

Getting that Holiday Spirit!!!

November 28  – December 02, 2022

We hope our Classroom 2-rrific families had a wonderful Thanksgiving celebration!

December will be a busy month for us! As you read in the lengthy email (sent December 1st), there are many things to know and plan for this month. If you have not had a chance to read it, please do! There are due dates and signatures that are MUSTS!

We have loved watching our children gel into a classroom family in this first half of the school year. Watching our third-level students grow and show leadership in our family with their actions, such as; stepping up to help a younger or smaller student with a task (without being asked), seeing them teach a younger student a challenging skill, such as shoelace tying or hanging a backpack and a coat on a single hanger;  observing them give comfort to a fellow classmate who is sad or hurt, are all signs of a successful Montessori family classroom. We look to the oldest students as they have had more time to develop these skills and have observed others leading the way in previous classes. We revere them in their elite roles in our classroom as someone the younger students can aspire to emulate in just a few short years. The third-level students are well aware of their responsibilities in the classroom as models and leaders. They do their best to live up to this task. As teachers, we love knowing that this year’s first and second-level students will one day be in the same leadership roles they admire so much today!  We will be amazed at their growth in kindness, patience, and leadership which will help bring another group of children together as a classroom family.  And, we will know who to credit!

Maria Montessori’s plan for a beautiful and successful classroom was and is still brilliant and relevant today!!

Our excitement for the upcoming Holiday Program is evident with the practice and hard work of our amazing Music teacher Mr.Jonathan and all students throughout the school! We look forward to seeing you all on December 8 with great joy!
