Our Montessori Students………

January 23 – January 27, 2023

Classroom 2-rrific is a learning machine!!! Students arrive each morning and ask almost immediately “what are we going to do today?” The active and enthusiastic participation in lessons is such a joy for us! The self-motivation to complete follow-up and independent work is exciting and infectious! There is so much effort given and focus on meeting goals and completing work plans! We could not be more pleased for the great gains made by our Montessori students already this year!

We had quite the treat this week! We love, love, love when parents have a special interest or knowledge that they can share with our students in the classroom. A sweet family in Classroom 1 did that for us this week! Kaden who just happens to be from China brought his parents to talk with both of our classrooms about the Chinese or Lunar New Year. They read a great book, showed us decorations from their home, and shared about their trips to China and how they celebrate this special holiday! Finally, they sweetly brought oranges and red packets to each child in the Lower Elementary. It was very informative and so much fun!

Did you know that our students are responsible for clean-up following our lunch each day? Aside from the personal responsibility each child has to clean their chosen spot, four designated students take a turn to be our “cleaners” for the week!  They sweep under, clean, and sanitize each table used by our students. You might be amazed at how well the cleaning team makes the job both fun and easy by working together! They do a great job of leaving a clean dining room for the next class! Do not hesitate to ask your child to help around the house, they are both joyful and capable to help out!
